Designing and constructing maternity kurtis with nursing pads

Pregnancy can be fascinating phase with so many changes taking place and so many things to look forward to such as the needs for comfortable maternity clothes. (Cumming and Cunning, 1960) Maternity wear has gained lot of importance in the recent years. The reason can be attributed to the fact that there is an increase in the number of pregnant women who are carrying out their routine activities during this period. Each woman is unique and each pregnancy is different as well. (Basavanthappa, 2006) Nursing pads, also called breast pads, are a very useful breastfeeding accessory that prevent embarrassment, and protect clothing from stains. Most importantly, wearing wet garments against the breasts and nipples can contribute to inflammation and infection.
